This holiday season, Gomez will continue to co-host THE GREAT AMERICAN BAKING SHOW on ABC with wife Nia Vardalos. In 2016, Ian appeared in the Universal sequel MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING 2, guest starred on the ABC comedy series THE REAL O'NEALS and shot the Warner Bros TV / FOX comedy pilot THE ENFORCERS with Christine Woods and Niecy Nash. Last year, he co-starred opposite Annie Mumolo, Angela Kinsey and Malcolm Barrett in the ABC multi-cam comedy pilot THE 46 PERCENTERS, an unromantic comedy about the 46% of the population who choose to stay married.

Ian recently co-starred in the feature LARRY GAYE: RENEGADE MALE FLIGHT ATTENDANT opposite Stanley Tucci, Patrick Warburton, Danny Pudi, Molly Shannon and director Mark Feuerstein, as well as the indie ALWAYS WORTHY with Jason Ritter, Frankie Shaw and Lukas Haas, which premiered at the Newport Film Festival.

Gomez's decision to focus on acting began when he was a member of the famed Second City comedy group, where he spent seven years. He made weekly appearances at Chicago's Improv Olympics, developing the improvisational skills he later showcased when he guest-starred on the hit improv series WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY?

A self-proclaimed Russian-Puerto Rican-Jewish Greek Orthodox born and raised inManhattan, Gomez credits diversity as a key to his success. He is married to another Second City alum, actress Nia Vardalos, acclaimed for her feature film MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING , which was based on the couple's wedding and Gomez's introduction to his wife's family. Gomez, his wife and their daughter make their home in Los Angeles.
